The compliance with a patient safety bundle for management of placenta accreta spectrum

Quist-Nelson J, Crank A, Oliver EA, et al. The journal of maternal-fetal & neonatal medicine : the official journal of the European Association of Perinatal Medicine, the Federation of Asia and Oceania Perinatal Societies, the International Society of Perinatal Obstetricians. 2019:1-7.

Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is a maternal complication that can result in life-threatening hemorrhage. This single center cohort study evaluated the impact of a pre- and post-delivery patient safety bundle for the management of PAS. Impacts on maternal and postoperative outcomes were not observed in this study, but the intervention did improve adherence to the patient safety bundle, which could lead to improvements in patient outcomes in a larger setting.
